Some of my favorite things to do in Redding:

Serendipity Coffee: Located on Lake Blvd on the north end of town. Great coffee and live jazz music on the weekend nights.

Cascade Theater: This completely restored art-deco monument hosts plays and performances of all kinds. As the centerpiece of the downtown revival, this venue is a must see landmark. Thank you Jefferson Public Radio!

Aqua Golf: Located on Park Marina Drive. Hit some balls into the river. Beautiful setting. Unique fun.

Schreder Planetarium: Just off Placer on Magnolia. Great shows, usually on Friday nights. Educational too.

YMCA: Sing the lyrics with me! Redding's Y is a cool place with good people. Nice pools.

Mosquito Serenade: Ok this is in Anderson, but is just a few minutes from Redding. Free concerts all summer. Really nice setting.

Market Fest: After Wednesday evening at the Mosquito Serenade, you can take in Market Fest on Thursdays all Summer. More free live music.

Kool April Nights: Arguably the best Hot Rod show week in the west. Laid back, and fun, like it's supposed to be.

Rodeo Week: Hey does your town have a rodeo? Mine does. Great western fun all week, and an amazing pancake breakfast for thousands.

Turtle Bay Museum: Site of the famous Sundial bridge shown above. It's right in the middle of town on the river, but a world away from the ordinary.

This view is of Mt Lassen, standing over 10Kft tall, located  east of Redding. Photo taken from a hillside overlooking Lake Shasta that you can reach from Redding in about 10 minutes drive. Lassen Park is just over an hour 's drive from Redding on Hwy 44. Definitely worth the ride.

3 Shastas. Photo by Skip. This is a famous photo shoot location, taken from the overlook on the scenic Highway a few minutes north of Redding. Shasta Dam, Shasta Lake, and Mt Shasta. Always a stunning vista. Take I-5 to Shasta Dam Blvd and head west. Taken in the Spring of 2004.

Here I am in front of Redding's city hall. I love my town and our people. I enjoy helping people buy and sell property here.

Is this a great country or what?
